THE TRIBULATION

This document will describe the events before and after the tribulation. It will also explain such topics of the judgments of God, crowns for the believers, the 144,000, and the two witnesses.

The Tribulation - Why and When?

The world is subjected to judgments because of sin. Judgments like the flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah were due to God having to judge sin.

Jesus warned that the most terrible period of judgment is yet to come.

(Mat 24:21 NKJV) "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

This will be the tribulation. Why? Because sin must be judged and evil punished. This 7 year period when God will judge the world for its sin and when God will judge Israel this will be the most horrible time the world will ever witness.

Once this final earthly judgment has been made God can restore the Earth to the way it was before sin had entered the Garden of Eden.

Is there any warning before the Tribulation?

We know that the Rapture will probably trigger the events that will allow for the Anti-Christ to take power. It will also bring to pass the four horsemen of the Apocalypse which will be the results of the rapture.

Judgments of the Bible

There are 10 judgments that can be found in the scripture. judgments can be found in the past, present, and future.

Past Judgments

The Flood (Gen 6)
Sodom and Gomarrah (Gen 19)
Judgment at Calvary (The Cross) (John 16)

Present Judgments

Self judgment of the Believers(1 Cor 11:31)
Judgment Of Carnal Believers(1 Cor 11:28-31)
Judgment Of Fallen Angels(2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6)

Future Judgments

Judgment Seat Of Christ(Bema)

(2 Cor 5:10 NKJV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
At the rapture all believers will receive their glorified bodies. This judgment takes place sometime around the mid-point of the Tribulation but the judgment is not on Earth but in the heavenlies.
(Rev 11:18 NKJV) The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth."
Judgment Of The Living Jews
The judgment of the nation of Israel will take place during the tribulation and the nation will repent.
(Mal 3:2-5 NKJV) "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire And like launderer's soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness. "Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem Will be pleasant to the LORD, As in the days of old, As in former years. And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien; Because they do not fear Me," Says the LORD of hosts.
judgment Of The Nations(Sheep and Goat judgment)
The judgment of individual gentiles alive of the end of the Tribulation. The unsaved go to eternal torments and the saved will enter the millennial kingdom.
(Mat 25:32-41 NKJV) "All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. "And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
The unsaved have taken (willingly)the mark of the beast either in the right hand or in the forehead which show allegiance to the satanic kingdom set up by the Anti-christ during the tribulation(one world government, economy, and religion).
The Great White Throne Judgment
After the 1,000 years, all the unbelievers will be resurrected, give an account for their lives, and confess that Jesus Christ is lord. After this judgment they will suffer eternal separation from God.
Rev 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Salvation In The Tribulation

Although the church is not present in the tribulation it is still possible to be saved. Through the witnessing of the 144,000 Jews and the powerful testimonies of the two witnesses many will come to know Christ as savior, both Jew and Gentile. However accepting Christ as Lord in the tribulation will not be easy. The Anti-Christ demands that everyone takes a mark those who do not worship the image of teh beast or accepts his mark will be beheaded. The only person that would be against such a system is a Christian. Part of the mesage of the 144,000 will be to avoid and reject the Anit-Christ's world system.

(Rev 20:4 NKJV) And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
